On Wednesday, the U. S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) will issue a warning to the American Medical Association about a potential safety problem with some of Pfizer's top-selling drugs, including Viagra, Cialis and Levitra.
The FDA issued a public advisory notice on Monday saying the risks were "unprecedented and warranting increased scrutiny of Pfizer's drug safety."

The agency also urged consumers to be vigilant and report potential side effects and to report adverse events to their healthcare providers.
Pfizer's latest advisory came on the heels of an earlier public notice that the company was facing a "potential safety issue" that requires a warning about the safety of certain prescription drugs. The agency has yet to issue a final warning.
